Community Guidelines
Last Updated: August 2026
Obra-BU was built to be a safe, inspiring, and professional environment to showcase student creativity. Because this is a public platform, we ask all artists to adhere to the following simple rules.
1. Originality is Required
You must be the original creator of any artwork you upload. Do not post art that belongs to someone else, do not post heavily traced artwork without credit, and absolutely no stolen art. AI-generated images should be clearly labeled as such in the medium/description if permitted by your specific university department.
2. Keep it Safe for Campus (SFW)
While art is subjective, Obra-BU serves as a public-facing digital gallery for the university community.
- No Explicit Content: Do not upload pornographic or highly sexually explicit material.
- No Hate Speech: Artworks or descriptions promoting violence, racism, or discrimination against any group will be immediately removed.
- No Graphic Violence: Please refrain from posting excessively gory or disturbing imagery meant solely to shock.
3. Respect the Gallery
Do not spam the gallery with low-effort uploads, test images, or non-art imagery (like memes or screenshots). This platform is designed to emulate a professional exhibition space; treat your profile like a real portfolio.
4. Reporting Violations
If you see an artwork that violates these guidelines, or if you believe your copyrighted work has been uploaded without permission, please contact the platform administrator immediately so it can be reviewed and removed.
Note: The platform administrator reserves the right to remove any artwork or ban any user account at their sole discretion if they believe these guidelines have been violated.
